More About Nely

Nely Sanchez is the author-illustrator of the Tallulah Spider children’s book series, the author of Hearts Crossing, a collection of poetry, and the creator of several productivity planners.

Nely created the Tallulah Spider series for her children, and each book is a funny story of an almost real-life event.

Tallulah! The Pretty Spider on a Yo-Yo started the series after one of Nely’s daughters woke up from a nap and casually mentioned that she had dreamt that a spider was racing across the living room on a yo-yo.

For several years, Nely wondered what a little spider on a yo-yo was up to.

Nely also writes heartfelt and poignant poetry about love and life, often leaving the reader with a lingering sense of beauty and melancholy.

While working on a women’s fiction series set in a cozy small town, and several other writing projects, Nely is a busy homeschooling mom who uses her own productivity planners and journals to keep her life on track.

Originally from Chicago, she now makes her home in the Desert Southwest with her husband and their four children.
